What Causes Skin Pigmentation And Discolouration Around Male Nipples?

Question: Greetings. Could you tell me what this discoloration on my male nipple is? I just noticed it recently. Is it merely a harmless pigmentation? It is along the right edge of my right nipple. It doesn't hurt or itch or anything. Thank you.

kindly check whether the discoloration is associated with any lump, if no then no need to worry about it.

As you do not have itching and pain even the infection is ruled out.

If it's only the discolouration then it would be due to a hormonal change.
consult your physician to get physicaly examined to make sure nothing abnormal.

i noticed this morning the discoloration lessened. i think that is what has happened before since I noticed it recently. There is no lump or anything, only the darkening along the edge. . What kind of hormonal change would cause this? Thank you.

Thank you. it is possible this discoloration has existed for years and I just never noticed it before. Could It be similar to a "birthmark" just along the edge of the nipple aureola?
