Question: Hello Doctor, I am a 29 year old woman, with no smoking , very light social drinking habits and an active life with around 5 Kms walk, jogging every day. From last 6 months i am facing few sensations in the chest which are following 1. Sharp pricking sensation for 1-2 seconds on left side of chest. 2. A woozing sensation in the left chest which feels like water running through my chest. 3. Sometimes like once a month of a sort of internal thump for 1-2 seconds which can be felt on the surface or chest as something moving. sometimes i feel the same sensation in my arms , legs and belly. I dont feel any pain, or any breathlessness when this happens. I have done all Cardiac tests which includes ECG/EKG , Cardiac Echo, Treadmill Stress ECG, All cardiac blood enzyme tests like CPK, Troponin, CKMB, AST, ACT, SGOT etc which came out normal. Thyroid is also normal. I have consulted 2 cardiologists who have ruled out any cardiac conditions telling that i have perfect cardiac health. So i wanted to ask whether this symptoms related to some nerve sensations ? Is their anything to worry about. I have some slight anxiety. I eat and sleep well and exercise regularly.

Brief Answer: No Heart disease / No problem / No worry Detailed Answer: Dear friend, Welcome to Health Care Magic There is nothing to worry about Your symptoms do not suggest Heart Disease. Pain from the heart is oppressing, in central chest (and left), worse on effort, relieved by rest, may radiate to shoulders and arms, associated with sweating and so on. If one could walk or jog for 5 KM – there cannot be significant heart problem Enzymes, ECHO & Treadmill rule out any significant heart disease You are too young for Coronary Artery Disease / and old for Congenital Heart Disease! Anxiety could account for all. Muscle twitching, gurgling (intestinal sounds) account for the sensation… Relax – biofeedback, Yoga and other techniques can help Learn to ignore it / Enjoy life Take care Wishing all well God bless

Thank you for feedback. I am trying to learn Yoga. It feels good to have a normal ECG , Treadmill ECG and Cardiac Echo. I am guessing that no further examinations are needed on my part. Can anything be done to reduce the sensations in the chest area. its very distracting.
