default
Posted on Thu, 21 Jan 2016
Question: Thanks...I have had some different symptoms in the past 2 months. I had a one sided very bad headache about 2 months ago. Saw my chiropractor to see if I was out of line and the headaches went away. Then I noticed, about 3 time, that I get up in the morning and an dizzy and about 3 times, I have had some right hand weakness and some jerking? About a month ago.....I had 2 days when I could not find my words (1 time each day) and today it happened again. I have no trouble or feel any different when this happens....but its evident I can't get my train of thought back. It is very scarey and want to know why this could be happening? I would appreciate any input. ThanksSo I can exit from this web site and wait for the response to come to my email?

Brief Answer:
Transient ischemic attack.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Your concerns are more consistent with transient ischemic attack, or temporary impairment of brain blood supply.

High blood pressure, partially narrowed arteries and microemboli are all factors that may cause it.

Since there was jerking too, partial seizures
should be considered too, as a possible cause of your symptoms, but less likely than transient ischemic attack.

Starting on baby aspirin is the right thing to do about preventing further episodes, but there is need also to consult a Neurologist and to be checked clinically and by tests (brain MRI/MRA, EEG ), in order to evaluate correctly your condition and to have a correct diagnosis.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Best regards.
