Brief Answer:
Need to have abdominal ultrasound and Xray chest

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible.

First of all, it is sad to know what you had gone through. Based on the history you have shared, it can be liver as any stretch in liver capsule can present with these and ultrasound abdomen and liver function tests alongwith serum amylase should be done.

Meanwhile analgesics like acetaminophen can be used but with liver derangement it's not advisable to be used frequently and unless needed the most.

A chest Xray may also be done to look for any pneumothorax of chest pathology. Wishing you a speedy recovery. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.

My blood work and liver tests have been normal. Is it possible that my years of drinking have just made my liver not able to process the alcohol anymore.

Brief Answer:
Yes it is quite possible.

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Yes it's quite possible and so you should limmit the usage, and have fresh ultrasound abdomen as well as liver profile and amylase. Drink more water and keep me posted with the results of these labs. Regards.
