What causes red rashes on my child's cheek and arms after flumist vaccine?

Hi My Daughter got the Flumist vaccine two days ago and she developed a hot very red slightly raised rash on her cheeks, arms and trunk. Have been giving Benedryl but not working, it is slightly itchy. Any advice or have you heard of anyone getting a rash post flutist?

Brief Answer: relax. Detailed Answer: Hi. Thanks for your query. Yes mild flu like symptoms is commonly seen after flu vaccine.and can be there for 72hours. Continue with benadryl and keep a close watch on symptoms. Seek medical advise in case rash is spreading or there is severe itching or swelling of lips or face.
