What Causes Recurrent Shingles Spots On Upper Back?

default
Posted on Tue, 15 Sep 2015
Question: Thank you, I have a history of shingle, 12 yrs ago. And the spot on my back--upper left--has never stopped the pain--the places on my arm and shoulder are gone but that spot on my upper back--inside the blade area and to the left more. Yet tonight a new unusual sesation hit me--inside my abdomen just below my stomach and it triggered my spot on my back. It wasn't a sharp pain--just a sensation. and an hour later the sensation occurred again. I do herbs remedies--so I took a hawthorne capsule and some oil of oregano. I couldn't find my aspirins. I am a former female Navy corpsman.

Brief Answer:
Shingles returns from time to time

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Shingles is a disease caused by a certain variety of herpes virus. Once you get an infection, the virus remains in the nerve endings of the respective area for the rest of life and there is nothing that you can do about it, be it with herbs or modern medicines.

The pain that you described doesn't seem alarming and is certainly more in favour of shingles. Do not be worried. If you stay in good health, recurrence can be minimized as the virus surfaces whenever there is a drop in the immunity. This resurfacing of the virus is responsible for the sensations and pain that you are getting.

Let me know if I could offer you some specific suggestions.
