What Causes Pressure In The Head Along With Lack Of Concentration?

default
Posted on Mon, 13 Nov 2017
Question: I only feel good after taking strong antibiotics. I feel good for 1 or 2 months and start to feel bad again: run down, lots of head pressure , get colds easily, hard to concentrate, some flu like symptoms. Can't ever exercise as I feel wiped out afterwards and can't concentrate. Have bad seasonal allergies. Take about 4 courses of antibiotics per year for past 6 years. The only way I feel somewhat ok is taking magnesium, b vitamins, fermented food, probiotics and fish oil. Took a lymes yes came back negative but understand false negative very common

Brief Answer:
Needs investigations &expert advise.

Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxxxxx00,
Thanks for the wuery. I understand your concern.
The symptom pattern suggests severe allergic tendency with chronic sinus infection.... not being totally irradicated by the antibiotic taken.
In this scenario I would suggest-
-Full blood counts to find signs of allergy &infection.
-culture &sensitivity test of nasal secretions after the symptoms set in &before taking any medicines... followed byadvise of an ENTspecialist's advise for antibiotics /anti allergic medicines with histamin blockers /steroidsoral/nasal spary) as per need.
-Allergy screening test to find allergens ... followedbyallergyspecialist's advise to manage & desensatize them.
*selfcare-.
- To avoid allergens.diet,clothes,atmosperic,smoking,medicines)
-have healthy allergen free diet with vitamines, minerals ,proteins &carbohydrates in balanced form.
-Avoid mental /physical stress.
-regular exercises.. specially rezpiratory exercises in non poluted air.
-Drik clean water at room temprature.
Thus with through evaluation, self care , patience & expett guidance you would definately overcome the problem.
I hope that answers your query..any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
It is due to involvement of internal ear in the process.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Wiltton 76,
Thanks for the repeat query .
* Lack of balance &disorientation mainly attribute to internal ear involvement .
* This can be due to allergy, trauma of ear or nasal/sinus problems.
- Ear is connected to nasal passage by eustachian tube.. which many a times gets involved with nasal &sinus problems.. Thus congestion, inflammation &probably infection from sinuses could have passed to inear through eustachian tube-internal ear to cause your symptoms.
* The situation demands a through evaluation of allergy, infection along with assessment of internal ear by consultation of ENT specialist as advised earlier...thus finding out degree of damage done by repeated infections &also suitable antibiotic.
A sufficiently longcourse of suitable antibiotic along with drugs to control repeated allergy ,inflammation, congestion would help you to combat the symptoms.
*Addition of self care to avoid forceful blowing of nose /avoiding allergens &taking a full advised course along with regular follow up examination & consultation are needed.
I hope that clears your doubts.Any other follow up query is welcome.
Thanks.
