Question: about a month ago i fell out of a truck trailer. my left lower shin hit the plastic step i should have used to step down. a lump 2 inches in diameter formed. i took aleve for a week and a half to temper the pain which went from pain from the impact site to burning pain from ankle to midcalf to basically none now. however the lump is still there around the same size. it feels a little spongy. i have full function and sensation in my ankle and foot.

Brief Answer:
There is the possibility of a persistent Haematoma

Detailed Answer:
Hello
I have studied your case.
There is a possibility of haematoma formation due to the injury you suffered from.
It may take more time to resolve.
Do not worry, so long as there is no pain.
You can try ice fomentation over it and also warm water fomentation alternately. This should bring down the lump.
Physiotherapy and an ultrasound will be useful if the lump persists.
Take precautions to avoid infection. Keep the site clean
