Brief Answer:
It could be random headache.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

In my opinion, that kind of pain you describe could be random headaches not related to Diabetes.

More information needed about pain characteristics in order to have a better understanding of your concerns.

How long lasts the pain is a very important information, eg. if it lasts 15 to 30 seconds few times a day, it is probably ice pick headache.

Other information eg. if pain is associated with congested nose and eye redness could be cluster headache, if any known sinusitis before, pain may be related to it.

High blood pressure can cause headaches too.

At your age, Migraine is less possible as cause.

So, if you like to share more information about your concerns, or have any clarification, I'll be happy to answer.

Brief Answer:
You are welcome.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again XXXXXXX

Best thing to do in preventing stroke is correct control of blood pressure.

If headaches last only few seconds, most probably it is ice pick one.

Best regards and wishing you good health.
