Brief Answer:
Could be oral thrush

Detailed Answer:
Hi

The pain in side of your tongue and front of your tongue could be caused by oral thrush.

It is an infection caused by a yeast germ called Candida.

I would advise you to do a blood test to see if you are lacking iron, vitamin B12 or folate which causes oral thrush with your doctors advise.

You need to do a a biopsy test to confirm a diagnosis of oral thrush.

A small sample is taken from inside your mouth and this can be examined under a microscope.

I will also advise you to apply imidazole group of antifungal agent gel such as miconazole over the sore area for a period of seven days.
