Brief Answer:
Central post-stroke pain.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Stroke damages mostly the brain and/or spinal cord.

Pain that is felt like nerve pain and related to stroke is referred as central post-stroke pain, seen in damages of certain brain areas ( thalamus, parietal lobe ).

This kind of pain is challenging to be treated, drugs used for this purpose include analgesics, tricyclic antidepressants, Gabapentin etc.

Procedures such TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation), nerve blocks also can be used.

MRI will confirm or exclude this diagnosis.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.
