What Causes Pain In The Lower Back While On Advil And Aleve?

default
Posted on Mon, 15 May 2017
Question: I have pain in the lower to mid right buttocks. It may be the result of a fall or of exercise. It has been going on for about two weeks. The pain is mostly when I walk; larger steps cause greater pain. When I am sitting it sometimes hurt but is postional; same while in bed - shifting positions eliminate the pain when sitting or sleeping. I have taken Advil and Aleve and both seem to lessen if not eliminate the pain periodically.
Suggestions appreciated on what to do for treatment. i have a doctor's appointment next Monday. There is no bruising that I can see. It does not seem to be sensitive to touch.

Brief Answer:
Get xray done.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have read your query.

In my opinion you need two xrays I.e xray of lumbosacral region in AP and Lateral view, xray of coccyx lateral view.

Pain you are explaining may be arising from soft tissue injury in that area.

So I advise you xray if there is in addition compression of nerves arising cin lumbosacral region or disc prolapse or compression of vertebrae in coccyx.

Get these xrays done and send me the report.

Till then have tab.aceclofenac100mg+serratiopeptidase15mg thrice a day by prescription of family doctor.

Use soft cushion while sitting.

Avoid weightlifting and jerky movements.

Do sitz bath daily for 15 mins.

I hope it helps.

Thanks,

Can I do yoga? Ride a bike? Walk for exercise? Or should I take it easy until the x-rays and diagnosis is done?

I have a doctor's appointment next Monday.

Avoid any type of exercise.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for the response my friend.

You should try to avoid any type of exercise like yoga, weightlifting, cycling, jumping, squatting, upstairs, tillhe xray reports came.

But you can do your routine work.

Please follow advise given to you previously.

I hope you got the point.
