Question: I am having pain below my rib cage in the center of my upper abdomen. It is a burning pain that wakes me up at night. I have had no significant changes in bowel habits and no nausea. What could it be?

Hi.

Pain as you have described comes on classically in gastritis with or without GERD.
Continue Nexium.
Also take antacids particularly when on empty stomach.
Domperidone may be needed, but needs a prescription.
It is always advisable to have an upper GI Endoscopy to know the exact diagnosis so that a proper course of medications can be done.
