Question: i had pain in the back of my lower head on both sides, it felt a little better, now it feels like it traveled to left side of my lower head above my ear

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this pain. Prednisone is a good rug for arthritis but may not be the best for this pain which seems to be of musculoskeletal origin. I will suggest you try tylenol and ibuprofen together for this pain. It should offer much relief. Continuing with ice would be helpful as well.

If the pain fails to resolve within 48hours or decrease significantly, then we would be investigating more through a more detailed interview, physical examination and probably a few imaging studies to map out the exact nature and address appropriately.
