Brief Answer:
Large intestinal problems like diverticulosis can be a possibility.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM.

I have gone through your query. This can be due to problems affecting large intestine like diverticulosis.

Other conditions like kidney stone should be ruled out by performing abdominal and pelvic ultrasound examination.

Diverticulosis is common after age 40 with out any symptoms also. If there is minimal discomfort it can be managed with high fibre diet. Also should take lot of plain water. Avoiding constipation will help you get better.

Therefore if things don't improve, I will urge you to meet a gastroenterologist. Perhaps a colonoscopy may be necessary to arrive at a diagnosis and to rule out complications. In short, the symptoms are not alarming at this point, however needs evaluation.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Probiotics will be helpful.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.

Thank you for your follow up query.

Refined foods should be avoided. Take whole grain cereals. Instead of white bread take whole grain bread. Probiotics , yogurt and kefir can be taken. Avoid foods like popcorn, sunflower seeds , caraway seeds, pumpkin seeds and sesame seeds. Taking prunes or prune juice at bed time will be helpful. Avoid excess intake of meat and dairy products. You can take ginger. It is good and helps against inflammation.

Brief Answer:
Amoxicillin can cause gastric discomfort.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up query.

Amoxicillin can cause gastric discomfort and diarrhea. It can cause dysbacteriosis also. Taking h2 receptor antagonist like ranitidine and probiotics along with this antibiotic will be helpful in getting relief. Also take it after food which decreases gastric discomfort. If you can't tolerate then ask your doctor for changing to another antibiotic.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Mild to moderate discomfort will go after finishing.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up.

Mild to moderate discomfort will go after finishing amoxicillin. If the discomfort is more then approach your local doctor to change to other antibiotic. As you have dental problems antibiotics will be needed. So can't avoid also.

Let me know if you have any further query. I am happy to help you.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
You mean fixed a dental appointment.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and Welcome.

Thank you for your follow up query.

You mean fixed your dental appointment. ? For dental procedures or for infection antibiotics are given for 5 days. If you can tolerate Amoxycillin you can finish the course. Other than gastric discomfort this is a well tolerated antibiotic.

Let me know if anything not clear. I am happy to help you.
Thanks.
