What Causes Orange Urine?

Question: sir today after taking the medicine in morning early hours and after two hours I didn't eat anything as per the direction of my physician now , normally my urine comes within two hours in orange colour . but it was normal today.now as I cleaned my tongue with tongue cleaner after doing brush of teeth the saliva came out of stomach due to cleaning of tongue came in red color or in the colour of medicine as I know so there I understood that the today medicine was not absorbed properly,hence I didn't took the breakfast for extra two hours so that the medicine will be absorbed properly by body.now my question is why my saliva came out in orange or red color was it not properly absorbed. since the saliva came in red. I took the extra pill sothat the effective XXXXXXX of today dose not be compromised and after this extra pillI I took breakfast fast after. one hour so so is the above thing will
effect my daily dosage

Dear xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, The orange color of the urine doesn't indicate the absorption of the medication. Rifampicin causes orange colored urine , but it is not a must that the urine becomes orange every time you take the pill. This means that sometimes your urine will be orange in color after taking the pill and some other times the urine will not become orange in color after taking the pill.
The red or orange color of the tongue and saliva is also a known harmless side effect of Rifampicin . it does not mean that the drug was not absorbed.
There will be no compromise to your daily dose. No need to worry.

thank you very much sir....as there was no vomiting also and the saliva came out of stomach is normal whenever I used to clean the tongue, but was worried as I took the medicine TB medicine empty stomach and was regularly taking them like that and was recovered also well but today as explained above it was not routine that whenever needed clean my tongue used to press more so that cough inside used to come out but today the saliva came out with the color of medicine hence got tensed ,can you explain why today only it came like that sir.....

sir so taken extra pill after four hours of taking medicine so that my today s dose won't get effected and accordingly took breakfast after one hour of taking pill means in between medicine and extra pill I took only water and took breakfast after maintaining the gap only

sir i just want to complete my course effectively so taken extra pill now have two questions 1) can we take four tablets with two or more Glass of water ,2) can we take water in between gap between medicine and breakfast as I normally won't took breakfast after two hours of taking medicine hence can I. between take water. so please explain at all we drink more water or one glass of water will it decreases the efficacy of tablets.as today also I took adequate one glass of water for 4 tablets of Akurit 3 so please explain

sir as per yesterday situation the saliva came in red that means there was some absorption of medicine in the body until unless there wouldn't have any red color in my tongue and saliva as that too came while I was cleaning my tongue,I forget to tell you that before taking extra pill ,my urine came in light yellow color and was like that till evening.so can you tell me why it so .is it also due to rimafician

sir how to know that the pills are not effecting esophagus while taking the pills , because sometimes we feel very thirsty and dry in throat after taking medicine instead of drinking plenty of water

sir as per daily dosage it is very difficult to say whether I took more water or less water but I can say I always swallowed tablets comfortably and hence is there any chance tgst daily dose should not be effected irrespective of water as I know I always took medicine Akurit 3 and not eaten any thing for more than two hours except took glass of water after two hours,hence this intake of water should not effect my treatment.
