Brief Answer:
Peripheral neuropathy

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your query.

The abnormal sensations that you have such as numbness are termed peripheral neuropathy. Peripheral Neuropathy is a condition caused by damage to the peripheral nervous system [most commonly seen in diabetic patients]. Another possibility could be nerve compression in spine due to disc bulge.

Vitamin B12 is important in the maintenance of health and normal functioning of the nerve tissue and deficiency of it can lead to numbness. You can increase B12 level by taking meat and fish, or you can take tab methylcobalamine .

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.

Take care

Thank you very much. How much methylcobalamine should I take daily? Should I get b12 injections? Do you think I should go to a doctor?

Consult your doctor for proper examination.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

First of all get your vit B12 level checked and consult your doctor for proper examination. If you have low level Doctor would advice injections. You can start taking methylcobalamin supplement according to vit B12 level under supervision of your doctor.
