What Causes Nausea With Fever, Chills, Fatigue, Malaise And Loss Of Appetite?
Question: Hello, I've been sick since last Thursday. My symptoms are nausea, fever, chills, sweats, exhaustion, lack of breath if I exert myself, like walking short distances, dizziness. I can keep food down, but in small amounts. Lack of appetite until I'm really hungry. I just sleep or have a headache, sleep or headache. I sleep a lot. I can't concentrate on books. I'm so tired my brain just wanders and I close my eyes and fall asleep. My chest aches a little. I woke up last night gasping for air twice. My sinuses are fine. I don't have any cold symptoms.

As fever is associated with chills few blood investigation are adviced like
Widal-Typhoid
Malarial parasite
Dengue NS1 antigen
Urine routine and microscopy
Blood routine and microscopy
Complete blood count
Total leucocyte count and differential leucocyte count
Lower respiratory tract infection can also be suspected as episodes are associated with shortness of breath.
As per the results further treatment will be decided.
You should consult a internal medicine doctor with reports of above mentioned tests.
Till that time Tab paracetamol can be taken for fever as and when required.Keep yourself hydrated and drink a plenty of fluid.

If it's just an infection do you think it will clear up in a few days on its own?
As a matter of fact, my daughter was just diagnosed with an upper respiratory tract infection last Monday. She's 19. Genius. But she had a cold with it. So basically I caught it from her. Fantastic. Do I need medicine for it?
