What Causes Nausea And Tenderness In The Breast After IUD Removal?

default
Posted on Thu, 11 May 2017
Question: I had an iud removed over 4 weeks ago. I had a period the week before and for 2 days after it was removed. I have been having nausea, tender breast, and cramping for 4 days. My period is technically late by 6 days. I have had sex with a condom multiple times. Is it possible that I'm pregnant or is my body adjusting to not having IUD?

Brief Answer:
Take a pregnancy test at home

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear and thanks for your query to HealthcareMagic.

I have read your question carefully and understand your health issue.

In fact, chances to conceive 4 weeks after you have removed IUD are very low because need time to return ovulation or fertility, for more you have had protected intercourse.

But to have peace of mind you should take a pregnancy test at home, to exclude pregnancy.

If pregnancy test will be negative then all signs and symptoms you have then they are due to hormonal imbalance you have due to removed IUD.

Symptoms will subside when your hormones will be balanced.

Hope I have been helpful and please feel free for further discussion.

Best regards
