What Causes Malaise, Irritability, Fatigue And General Weakness While Suffering From Migraine?

Question: My daughter (in college) is just calling with symptoms feeling not right...feeling like she's taken a Compazine for her migraines but has not, irritable, warm sensations (when she's normally cold by nature). She's saying her blood feels like it is having a hard time pumping...she feels almost jittery but is not shaky. She wasn't feeling well yesterday when she flew back to school (nauseated and shaky, tired). This morning she said she was feeling better. She gets complex migraines and can get cognitive things (not being able to read) but that doesn't seem to be the case. Is there anything we should worry about?

Brief Answer:
needs to consider anemia, viral, etc complete blood profile suggested

Detailed Answer:
welcome to HCM,
As i noticed the major complaints of your daughter are malaise, irritability, fatigue, general weakness, etc with a known history of migraine.

Considering her age, such clinical picture is commonly seen in premenstrual dysphoria. A syndrome that occurs few days before periods. In regards to which i would want to know,
if her periods are irregular? Does these symptom precede periods?

Secondly, I would want to rule out anaemia. Chronic feeling of weakness, loss of interest in routine activity, irritability, etc are common presenting symptoms of anaemia.
It can be ruled of by simple routine blood investigations here.

Thirdly, any viral prodrome. Associated fever, nausea, body ache should suggest viral infection.

Considering there above possibilities, i would suggest few investigations of
Complete blood count- it can tell us about her haemoglobin status and blood counts, on basis of which we can rule out two conditions.
Vitamin B12, Vitamin D3 levels- to rule out nutritional deficiency.

If the symptoms have reduced and controlled, there appears no need to visit a physician immediately. However, in case of fever, loose motion, and if the symptoms have increased, in case of which it is wiser to consult a local physician immediately.
Meanwhile you can get the above investigations done.
