Brief Answer:
Please go to the medical center right now to rule out side effect of Z pack

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. Prednizon or prednisolone is a steroid and is used in the treatment of allergic reaction including the one you had due to smoke. This is a recommended treatment.

2. It is possible that you also had a secondary infection in the throat subsequently and this caused elevated white blood cell count.

3. If chest X ray is clear then it is unlikely to be any major manifestation in the lung.

4. Z pack contains azithromycin and this is an antibiotic. It is to be noted that Z pack is a potentially dangerous medication in the elderly and it might cause serious heart rhythm abnormalities and this is a FDA warning.

5 I suggest you go back to the medical center right now and inform them that you have taken Z pack as recommended and this is causing chest discomfort. It is important to rule out any side effect due to Z pack.

Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
