Brief Answer:
UTI plus Edema feet. needs a little work up and Management accordingly

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. regarding the abdominal pain and foul smelling urine, it fits into the description of UTI. Get a urine routine exam and get evaluated.

Regarding the hysterectomy, that might have lead to this swelling in feet. Get a few labs like renal functions, albumin etc to rule out causes of edema. If normal then suspicion will be dependant edema which is a sequelae of any surgery involving lower abdomen. Raise your legs, compression stockings and exercise shall help. Talk to your doctor and let them narrow the differentials.

Right now urine examination for UTI is priority. Meanwhile take some garlic , cranberry juices, drink plenty of fluids, adapt good coital and toilet hygiene and see if it helps.

I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Wouldn't a uti cause painful urination? I have had UTIs in the past and they have always caused pain when urinating.

Brief Answer:
UTI may happen with out pain. Foul smell more reliable.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back to me

Dysuria also called painful micturition is one of the symptom of UTI but not necessarily present. FOul smelling urine itself is more reliable symptom of UTI and should always be evaluated with urine routine exam. Recent surgical intervention like yours makes it more likely.

Use some peppermint ( it's a natural antispasmodic , will help with the pain ) and garlic with cranberry juices. Take plenty of fluids. Get a urine routine exam done meanwhile and also go for the labs to sort out the cause of swelling in feet. I think that is due to the surgical intervention of the hysterectomy that has likely compromised lymphatic drainage from lower limbs but i may be wrong and that's why i am asking you to get some baseline work up done.

I hope you see it in a right perspective.

Yours Sincerely
Khan
