What Causes Lower Back Pain Postpartum?

default
Posted on Mon, 7 Aug 2017
Question: My wife had normal delivery almost two months completed and she is getting lower back pain severely and she can't even walk when getting the pain. This issue was there before pregnancy.

She consulted the doctors and they said to go for
X-RAY L.S-SPINE AP VIEW
X-RAY PELVIS AP VIEW

Both the reports are normal. There is no problem with the bones.
But she is facing too much pain on the right leg from lower back.

What could be the reasons ?
Please suggest for further proceedings...

Brief Answer:
Low calcium in bones

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

If x-Ray shows no fractures, the second most common cause of pain post delivery is low levels of calcium.

I suggest her to take calcium supplements for a minimum period of 3 months.
Tab Tayo is one such supplements. Taken one tab per day for 3 months will suffice.

Hope, I answered your query.

Wish you good health.

Regards,
