Question: I had sinusitis problem like 10 years ago , I opted for homeopathy and did a course for about 6 months. The problem was cured and it had never bothered me again. But somehow i feel after that course the area around my eyes have darkened and also my smelling sense has gone down. My nose feels always congested and i can feel some kind of pressure (sometimes) in my left ear too. Please advise.

Brief Answer:
CT/ Endoscopy / Treatment as follows.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX Murdeshwar.
Let us be XXXXXXX and straightforward as you have taken some medicines and have been suffering for such a long time.

Was it diagnosed 10 years ago by ENT Endoscopy and / or CT scan of sinuses?
What exactly were your problems and now at present ?
Which problems got solved by Homeopathy?

Now you have mentioned ::: { But somehow i feel after that course the area around my eyes have darkened and also my smelling sense has gone down. My nose feels always congested and i can feel some kind of pressure (sometimes) in my left ear too.}

I will try to explain and you are always at XXXXXXX to ask me more if you feel so.

All the symptoms you have at the moment are suggestive of mucosal edema, usually an aftermath of an allergic procedure.
I would advise such a patient the following:
Get the routine tests of blood and urine. particularly of blood sugar.

Most important is to have an opinion, and Endoscopy by an ENT Surgeon to know the exact clinical picture. On clinical examination HE can tell us the exact appearance of the interior of the nose, the reason for reduced smell, Congested nose and pressure in left ear.

CT scan of the nose and sinuses. This is the only investigation to tell us about the interior of the nose, sinuses and naso-pharynx.

All these test will get us the exact idea about the present situation.
And will help us all for the most promising treatment.
We can always go for a course of Medicines, anti-inflammatory, antihistamines, Oral as well as topical steroids in the form of a nasal spray (and reducing dosages of Deflazacort). In consultation with your Doctor / ENT Surgeon.
Tapering dose of oral steroids like deflazacort over 3 weeks.
Cetirizine with montelukast.
Vitamin A & Vitamin D in therapeutic dosage.
Continue with multivitamins- supports the immunity system.
Steroid nasal spray as was prescribe already.
Antibiotics only if there are signs and symptoms of infection.
Steam inhalation.
And
Most important to keep away from the allergens causing gall such problems. Your keen observation alone can find what to avoid. This is basically the mainstay of your treatment.

Get a Doctor with whom you can discuss this and get a proper examination and prescription.

I am sure if you follow this protocol, you are going to get the most probable diagnosis, plan for further management and improvement in all the symptoms.

Please feel free to ask for more if you need to and you may rate this answer.

No ENT endoscopy or CT scan was done.

What exactly were your problems and now at present ?
As I said, the severe pain above my eyes(just where the forehead ends).

I also want to know if there are any long term impacts of this situation and how much time would be needed to cure this. I am really worried about the dark circles around my eyes and I believe the sinus blockage may be a reason for it.

Brief Answer:
3 weeks to 3 months.

Detailed Answer:
It is already 10 years you were suffering.
There may not be long term impacts as the treatment will be well directed.

Cure depends upon the diagnosis on Endoscopy and CT scan.
It make take around 3 weeks to 3 months for dark circles and other problems to get solved. Relief may start immediately on correct line of treatment.
Sinus blockage may be indirectly responsible for dark circles.
