What Causes Lingering Cough And Fever?

Question: Hi Doctor,

My husband who is 36 yrs old is suffering from cold and fever. He has cough which has been recurring. It is not reducing with any cough syrups. He has body pains and weakness. Fever gets higher during evening. This is urgent hence pls prescribe immediately.

Welcome to HealthcareMagic and thanks for putting up the query
As your husband is having cough and fever, it is an infective Pathology. Give him an antibiotic like a combination of amoxicillin and clavulunate 625 my twice daily
anticold tablet twice daily
Decongestant nasal drops three times a day.
Give a cough syrup 2 tsp thrice daily
Give him steam inhalation
As the cough is more many days, get a x-ray chest P A view done and sputum examination done.
Follow up with the reports.
All the medicines I have prescribed will be available only on prescription.

he can take tablet augmentin 625 twice daily
syrup chericof 2 tsp thrice daily
Take both for a week.
