What Causes Lack Of Semen Production During Intercourse?

Below is the letter we received from the urologist
We went through your blood test results today; these unfortunately show that you have a significantly elevated FSH at 27.7 and an LH of 11.7. Your testosterone is at the lower limit of normal for a man at 11.5.
I have explained to you that these results suggest that you are under primary testicular failure and the reason for your semen analysis not having any sperm in it is because your testes have prematurely failed and are not producing sperm. As a result of this your brain is producing high levels of FSH and LH to try and stimulate the testes but this is obviously not resulting in any benefit in terms of sperm production. There are two possible causes for this, it can either be unexplained and sometimes happens without any clear cause, alternatively there are some genetic conditions and genes that you may carry which put you at a higher risk of this condition.

This means that for some reasons your testes can no longer produce sperms and that is why there are no sperms in your semen. The causes are often not very clear and require much testing to map out the exact cause. Your urologist can do so if you want. Also, what's your profession and have you had any recent exposures to radiation?
Unfortunately, you can no longer have a child. With no sperms, there is no way even assisted reproduction can help with this. I understand this is a serious blow and certainly not the best information to relay but professional ethics demand so. Look at the other baby and stay positive.
I hope this makes it clearer. I wish you well and above all, show courage and composure as this is certainly something difficult to deal with.
