Brief Answer: Use a topical steroid+antifungal cream Detailed Answer: Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic Classical Candidal Balanoposthitis/yeast infection, presents with the following signs and symptoms: Itching, Redness, Edema, White deposition and Linear cracks all round on the inner surface of prepuce. Panderm plus cream contains ofloxacin, ornidazole(antibacterials), terbinafine(antifungal) and clobetasol propionate (is a very potent steroid and should never be used on the delicate genital mucosa). As you can see, it is a combination cream containing antibacterial, antifungal and a potent steroid. These multiple combination creams have very few specific indications but are misused very commonly as over the counter treatment for fungal, bacterial infections and even for acne and pigmentation. They are basically irrational combinations of all kinds of drugs(antibacterials+antifungals+antiinflammatory) without paying any reliance to clinical diagnosis and symptoms, which encourages misuse and side effects. Moreover the antifungal present in panderm+ is terbinafine which is anyways not very effective for yeast like candida. Azoles like clotrimazole, ketoconazole, fluconazole are more effective against yeasts/candida. Therefore, I would strongly advice against using it. For candidal/Yeast balanitis: I would advice that you apply a topical steroid+antifungal cream(Clotrimazole+beclomethasone) twice daily for 7 days. Abstain from intercourse for a week till it is cured OR otherwise you can use a condom Can take cetrizine once daily for itching. If its slow to respond OR recurs again i would advice that you visit your nearby dermatologist who might prescribe you one of the oral antifungal agents(either Fluconazole/ Itraconazole) Avoid using any kind of soap to clean the delicate skin of foreskin and glans. Instead you can use just plain water for gentle cleansing. regards
