What Causes Intermittent Sore Throat?
Question: Have a confined UTI, however also have a sore throat. I have had 3 over the last 2 years, each UTI I have had a sore throat accociated with this. Please can you explain it cannot be conisidence. STD check clear.

The bacteria causing throat infection can enter the blood stream from where they can reach any part of the body including Urinary tract. There is probably a roughening or thickening of bladder wall that makes the bacteria stick there.
Only way to confirm whether the two are related is to do a throat swab culture and simultaneously a urinary culture during the attacks. If the organisms are the same, then your presumption is confirmed.
