What Causes Headaches While On TIA Medication?

default
Posted on Wed, 27 Aug 2014
Question: I had a TIA five years ago. I am on aggrenox, lisnorpril, hydrochloric. My blood pressure has been very good for the last five years. Last week, doctors tested it twice at about 111/72. I have had some mild on and off headaches for the last seven days. My neurologist cannot see me until Aug 28. What should I do?

Brief Answer:
You can take symptomatic treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your details. I would like to reassure you that your headaches do not represent any serious illness. You can take symptomatic treatment such as paracetamol, ibuprofen or diclofenac tablets for pain relief.

Also, you are adequately covered and are on correct medicines to prevent further TIA or stroke.

Best wishes,

My headaches are mild. What if I can toughen out the pain without taking medication? Or should I go ahead and take the medicine?
