Welcome at HCM..
I am Dr Saad Sultan and will be answering your query. I have read and understood your health concerns...
When exactly he has tremors like at rest or when he try to move? Is it easy for him to get up from the bed without tremors?
Tremors needs to be investigated. It has many causes.
Generally in alcoholics tremors are mostly present with difficulty in coordination. Only tremors with normal coordination is rarely seen in alcoholics. Your husband should be seen by your physician so that he can be properly assessed.
If I am your attending physician I will get his thyroid function tests along with complete neurological examination. After then I will be able to proceed.
Hope it helps

I appreciate your follow up.
Alcoholism is dangerous since it has got negative effects on liver, brain and heart.
In specific reply to your query , no it doesn't appear to be life threatening acutely. Its like a slow poisoning. It kills slowly.
Tremors do appear in alcoholics. That's why I want your husband assessment by physician.
Apart from it , his liver function tests should also be done as it has deleterious effects on liver.
Meanwhile stay calm and try to decrease the intake amount.
May he get well soon
