Question: my husband continually burbs around 5 times a minute this is being going on about a week I am concerned

I can understand your concerns.

For frequents burps what I advise to my patients and found it very useful is:
1. Avoid spicy food
2. Give him small and frequent meals instead of full meal at time
3. Dont lie down soon after meals and dont drink water after meal at least for 2 hrs

4. Give XXXXXXX proton pump inhibitor like rabeprazole and a prokinetic agent like levosulpiride once a day blhalf hr before breakfast
5. Give him tablet baclofene 5mg tds
6. Avoid food that leads to gas formation like beans, legumes , cabbage and dairy products
7. Give him calsule simethicone 140mg tds
