What Causes Fluctuating BP Readings While On Cartia?

Question: I'm on cartia 120 mg and my blood pressure for weeks has been on avg 160 /100 and my pulse is 90 to 100. I van get my top no. down but not the bottom no. or my pulse.

Cartia twice a day and hydrocorithicide 25mg/day

I read your query and understood your concerns.

Your BP and HR aren't well controlled and I would like to suggest adding Ramipril or Diovan to control your BP.

Moreover I would recommend to switch from Diltiazem to Nebivolol. Nebivolol is more effective on controlling BP and HR.

However since these treatment change may have unwanted side effects I would recommend to discuss with your doctor about any changes.
