What Causes Fatigue And Hair Loss When Diagnosed With Lupus?

Posted on Wed, 31 May 2017
Question: I am looking for a local doctor, who can help me with mold exposure, I did get the storage unit of my belongings tested and my jeep, and they both showed signs of mold spores, however, i wasn't able to get into the basement apartment where my belongings were. I have Lupus and a weaken immune system and I almost put my dog down because he was covered with bleeding sores, fur was falling out and he could no longer lift his head, he is only 11 lbs, but he is slowly get better, but now blind and have kidney problems. AS for me I have had the same had the same issues, open sore, extremely fatigue, hair loses, the list goes on. I was informed about the fact that the basement had flooded at least 5 0r 6 times prior to me moving in July 2014 and when I left I noticed mold all up and down the walls in the back storage areas. I am currently in a lawsuit with the landlord, basically for my personal property, but I want her to be responsible for the suffering caused to me and my dog, especailly when she is a doctor and should have known better. i have been tested, but the doctor said he believes me, because of my syptoms and my Lupus history, it just didn't show up in my test, he needed test from residence, but i couldn't get. Any suggestions of what I can do. I have been looking up reseach, however, it appears that the laws and experts are far and inbetween. I need an expert to just testify the efforts of mold on people with weak immune systems and pets, and i need it fast.
Look forward to hearing from you
Sincerely XXXXXXX Tibbs

Hello XXXXXXX

I am sorry about this situation - I feel for you! I am wondering if you have contacted an Occupational/Environmental medicine physician. I'm providing a link for you with a form to fill out that might help you find a physician of this type. The ones listed here on this site are available to be contacted to answer questions to gain information and advice, even if there is no Occ-Med doctor listed here that is near you.

However, for someone near where you live, you might contact your closest university hospital to see if they have an occupational/environmental medicine department near you that you could work with.

The report that you uploaded to me does not document that there is mold. Do you have documentation in some other report? You will need that to get anywhere I think.

So Sorry had to run out and help my 99 year old friend, I tried to upload the mold test results, I will try again, ok I resent, hopefully you will get it. I looking for pictures of the mold, but I transferred to word for court and dr's and they wouldn't upload. It's been a day or two from year and we both continue to have problems, specially with skin, but I also now have kidney issues, which I never had before, I have enough issues, Lupus is just the largest. Hello again, I tried to send a copy, the pictures, but in word, still looking. Please let me know if the documents uploaded for you. I am fighting this Pro Se, crazy experience; however, I not like to be treating badly, especially when you should have known there was mold down there, after all the floods and knowing me for 14 years and that I have Lupus. Sorry that has nothing to do with the fact at hand, I was wondering is there a medical journal or any publications that our respected enough to present their findings in the court process, that might be my only option, I willing to try everything, not much data, that I can find on the topic

I have not tried Occupational/Environmental medicine physician, I have gone to Sinus and Allergy doctor, who did a blood test, but the doctor told me that he sees the signs, but without the major test of property, it would be tough to test for the most dangerous one, the one I have the most problems with.

As you are trying to do this yourself, please do contact an occ-med doctor that will be listed after you fill out the link I sent you. They will likely be willing to advise you on the phone without charging if it isn't a very long conversation. They can give you information.

An allergist is not the same as an occupational/environmental medicine doctor although they do see mold allergies and sensitivities.

I am not sure what you mean by "but without the major test of property, it would be tough to test for the most dangerous one" (?)

Thank you, but I do not see the link. The family still leaves there with her 2 children, and they have breathing problems, that's another reason she needs to be address this, because she care about NO ONE but herself and the kids are most likely breathing mold, because it has been moldy for years, that is evident by the pictures. I took care of the kids more than she did, very sad and I pray they are ok. Where should I look for that link?Oh sorry, my brain is also affected, but getting better. I appreciate all your help and if I have other questions, I will contact you again.
Sincerely, XXXXXXX Hello again Dr. Berger-Durnbaugh, I knew I seen that site before, they focus on the workplace, my issue was in my basement apartment, should I call anyway?

The link doesn't show up as blue. You can't just click on it unfortunately - you have to copy and paste it into your address bar.

Here it is again:

Yes, you can ask these doctors about issues in the home. Mold affects both workplaces and homes (as you know) so they are knowledgeable on both. If one isn't helpful, try another.
