What Causes False Positive Result For Methadone And Oxycontin?
Question: i had a urine drug test done for my pain Dr it came back positive for methadone and ocxicotion . also alcohol i only take hydros 7.5 and i do take a list of vitamins and also other Rx and i do some homeopathic for pain and menopause and anxiety. i also take zuralto for my blood disorder i just dont know how or why that stuff would come up positive i absolutely do not drink what could cause a false positive for these things in my test ? they have taken me off my pain meds and don't even want to listen to me about what stuff i take over the counter he just keeps saying the test isn't wrong so i want to call a meeting with all the pain drs and the medical director i feel like a druggy am not at all i feel horrible someone is thinking of me as one i am a mom of 3 very involved in there sports just interviewed for a substitute position and am worried now please if you have any answers please help me.

The Pain management doctor is saying that my test came back with high amounts of methodns and that the meds I actually have been taken hydro's 7.5 are not in my urine at all that can't be right I was talking them daily . Is it also safe to buy cut me off. I have been on them for most of 2 year's I am worried I feel like crap!! I am still requesting a meeting with Dr I don't feel this being handled properly .

Although they have valid reasons to doubt the credibility of patient because of increasing prevalence of drug abuse but I think there is need to take flexible approach. I must assure you that on other aspect they are quite liberal and try to understand the patient perspective despite the test results. I am hopeful that meeting with your doctor will give you the desired results about decision following testing positive for methadone and oxycontin. In my view stand what you say and try to bring all details in knowledge of your doctor rather than concealing one or other part.
