Brief Answer:
Enlarged prostate is unavoidable in all elderly men!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this enlarged prostate and all the inconveniences that this has caused you. I will like to reassure you that finding and enlarged prostate in an elderly person is nothing abnormal. The only call for concern would have been if you had symptoms and that doesn’t seem to be the case. Be calm about this. There is nothing to do so as to reduce the size of your prostate. If it were, every man would take such a treatment at one point or the other in their lives. For now,, only monitor the PSA and only act on the value if it goes beyond 10 or more than doubles in a year. PSA is highly discouraged in the screening of prostate cancer.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.
