What Causes Elevated Creatinine, CPK And Uric Acid Levels While On Olmat-H?

default
Posted on Mon, 14 Dec 2015
Question: Last about 3 months I am taking Olmat H which I find a very dangerous medicine in respect of controlling high BP. In recent test my Creatinine , CPK and Uric acid has suddenly shoot up to a limit of concern. I am a person who takes maximum care for health. I do not have any bad habits jeopardizing my health.
Along with Olmat H I was suggested to take Amlong50 which do not have side effects of concern.
Please advise me to discontinue Olmat H and if necessary some good replacement. My latest BP is 152/82 as on 16th Nov.,15.
Thanks,

Brief Answer:
Discontinue Olmat.

Detailed Answer:
HI

Thanks for choosing HealthcareMagic.

Well Olmat-H is a good drug but in some people it may cause rise in creatinine levels . In your case it is better to change to other medicine.

The other alternative for you is Cilnidipine or Metaprolol. You can use Cilnidipine . This is similar to Amlong but the incidence of side effects are much less when compared to Amlong.

Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarifications feel free to ask.

Regards.
