Brief Answer:
Primary hypothyroidism?

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam,
I understand your concern.

Elevated TSH should be strongly considered as sign of primary hypothyroidism unless otherwise proved.

I strongly recommend you to get this hypothyroid state corrected by external thyroxine supplementation.

Yes definitely hypothyroidism has serious outcomes on pregnancy particularly on the new born.

Child is usually born with low intelligence and cardiovascular dysfunction if their mothers are hypothyroid.

Also the risk of congenital hypothyroidism is also high in the fetus.

I strongly recommend you to see your endocrinologist at the earliest to receive Thyroxine for certain length of time 6-12 months.

The usual doses prescribed are 25-50 mcg.

Avoid foods like cabbage and spinach.

Post your further queries if any.

Thank you.
