Question: My nose is dry and crusty. But I also have this recurring symptom that is like a pimple inside my nose and it is so painful. Twice in the last 3 years the occurrence was so severe that half of my face was swollen and distorted. I was given antibiotics and applied warm compress but it keeps coming back I mean the pimple like pain inside my nose. I also take allergy medicine and and spray Flonase but it doesn't solve the problem. Please help. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Upload picture, if visible from outside, antibiotics.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to HCM
I have gone through your query.
Is the pimple visible from out side, if so kindly upload the picture, to assess and to provide you with specific advice.
Treatment can be decided on examination, so if possible kindly see ENT specialist for examination.

Based on the information, I want to know are you diabetic, if not I would suggest you to get an random blood sugar investigation done.
Never squeeze, compress, scratch the pimple / pustule - in that way you will cause new infection.i would recommend to maintain local hygiene, clean the area with antiseptic liquid and apply anti inflammatory cream over the area, if it is accessible for you.
You will need antibiotics for a start.Whether it will need removal or not will depend on the size.
Please see a ENT specialist, and then decide whether removal is necessary.
Hope this helps.
I'll be glad to address your further questions.
Take care.

It is not visible outside and not diabetic.

I took pain reliever to ease the pain. Should I take it every time there is pain?

Brief Answer:
Might be conjunctivitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Good to hear from you.
Kindly upload the picture.

I would suggest you not to take any medication without consulting.
Based on the information it might be conjunctivitis, but need an examination to confirm.
After examination I would have prescribed antibiotic eye drops like Ciplox (ciprofloxacin).

Hope this helps.
Take care

They are red but no crust formation around them nor I feel itchy or irritated. If it doesn't improve till tomorrow then I might have to see ENT which I couldn't do because I have no medical insurance that's why I come to you. I am applying for Medicaid since I got no job but I will be covered in December.

This is how my eyes look like.
