Brief Answer:
Acid reflux or esophagitis can be the reason.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir

Thank you for asking HCM.

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due acid reflux or esophagitis.

Do you smoke or chew tobacco. ?
Do you consume alcohol?

Acid reflux (Gastroesophageal reflux ) can irritate esophagus can cause this. For this taking proton pump inhibitors like esomeprazole ( Nexium ) for one month will be helpful.Avoid spicy hot foods. Take light meals at short intervals. Have dinner at least 2 hours before bed time.
If there is no improvement then a consultation with gastroenterologist and fibrogastroduodenoscopy is well appreciated to find out the exact status.

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.
