What Causes Delayed Menstruation And Negative Pregnancy Test?

Question: am looking for counsel.

My period is 7- 9 days late.
I am 37 years old. (21 April 1980)

Usually it is very regular: 26-28 days, usually exactly 27, rarely up to 31.

My last period was 29 XXXXXXX I do monitor my cervical fluid and believe that I was fertile between 7-12 July, with ovulation around the 12th.

By the 16th July I noted the cervical fluid was thick & sticky, no odor.

19, 20, 21, 22 I had unprotected sex.

Twice without withdrawal. (20,22)

I am not experiencing any typical pregnancy symptoms, nausea etc.

I have talked several (5) over the counter pregnancy tests in the last 5 days and they were all negative.

I have scheduled a blood test for 9 days from now.

Any counsel is greatly appreciated.

hello..understanding your concern...in my opinion u do serum tsh and serum prolactin..husband semen analysis as well..consult gynecologist and start taking clomiphene for 5 days from day 2 of period...do follicular study to know the size of follicle...follicle should grow atleast till 18mm and then rupture ...then keep reltionship or iui fr early results...thnks...u can ask if any more querry...

I am not trying to get pregnant. I just want to knoe if i am pregnant now, and why my period is late if i am not pregnant.

hello..as your upt is negative,you r not pregnant,delayed period with negative urine pregnancy test can be due to stress,pcod,hormonal imbalance,overweight etc...nausea can be due to hormone effect of progestrone...nt to worry...wait for 7 days for your period...then consult gynecologist ...so that u can take medicine to get your periods..thnks,,ask if any more querry...

I am under a lot of stress. My period is never this late, which is also stressful. In 7 days it will be 2 weeks late, I hope it comes sooner. I was worried it was maybe a etropic pregnancy. My breasts do feel heavy and last night i had very very mild cramping.

u can visit your gynecologist for a usg and medicines for periods...for ectopic pregancy up will come positive...u can do usg and if needed serum beta hcg...u r getting premenstural symptoms like nausea,heaviness of breast etc.relax..visit ur gynec,,thnks...u can ask if more querry
