Brief Answer:
Physical examination is necessary.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up and providing further details.

I understand your concerns but I am afraid to say that, that on basis of the medical history,we have discussed so far,it is not possible to arrive at a definite diagnosis.
Some points are important in diagnostic approach like 'whether the edema is pitting or non-pitting edema'?Whether the overlying skin is inflamed or not?

I suggest you to get yourself examined by a physician,so that a better diagnostic plan can be formulated.

Besides, if you can click a photo of the limb with the swelling and upload here as a .jpg file,I shall further be able to guide you better.

If you have some further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.

Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
MD,DM(Neurology)
