Brief Answer:
A stinging pain in the nape of the neck is most likely from the spine

Detailed Answer:
Hi welcome to HCM,
A stinging pain in the nape of the neck is most likely from the spine in the neck (cervical spine).
Are there any eruptions there? It could be a sign of Shingles.
Ask someone to press the spine at the spot and see whether there is pain on pressing.
Also get a digital x-ray/ MRI done for diagnosis.
Meanwhile you can try a tablet with B1, B6, B12 and one of Pregabapentin once a day for a week to see if you get relieved.
You can revert back.
Regards
