What causes chest tightness and pain under left breast when diagnosed with bronchitis?
Bronchitis sequelae /gastric discomfort. Supportive care only
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. Pain in left lower chest with normal ekg is common in bronchitis and its sequelae. All you need is symptomatic care like painkillers and bronchodilators for relief. This pain will subside once the bronchitis is controlled. Pain under left rib with radiation to back should also be suspected for gastritis / gastric discomfort as that is common with use of pain killers and antibiotics too. Taking some antacidsshould eb given a trial to see if it helps. If its gastric discomfort a few pepto, nexium or any other antacids will help.
Apart from medications, home remedies should be focussed too, like no smoking, avoiding irritants like dust, smoke, polluted air, dry air. use humidifier for the breathing . If there is cough that triggers, wearing a face mask will help reduce that.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
Hernia is the likely cause of all symptoms
Thank you for getting back to me
Now that you mentioned hiatal hernia, i would say even bronchitis could be a result of this acid reflux common in hiatal hernia. Supportive care with antacids should be considered and motility enhancing drugs will also help the hernia .
I hope it helps.
