What Causes Burning On Foreskin?

default
Posted on Tue, 7 Oct 2014
Question: I had an encounter with CSW in July 2012. Symptoms after 36 hours was constant foreskin burning. The symptoms were constant. I was tested for all STDs and HSV 1 IgG was positive and other STDs was negative including HSV 2 IgG negative. After this encounter I had sores on lower lip and on gums. Please let me know whether burning in urethra is due to herpes. Checked with urologist and prostate is normal but the urologist felt it is sore. Weight is 16 grams of prostate.

Brief Answer:
may be herpes.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for query. I am Dr Bharatesh D Basti answering your query.
I went through your history and details.
Burning urination can be a manifestation if herpes. If it occurs in cycles then it is more likely. I.e if reccurent .
As urologist as ruled out other causes it can be due to herpes.
Hope there are no other lesions or symptoms in the area.
Hope you do not have any fungal infection.
HSV1 or 2 both can affect oral or genital areas and cannot be ruled out.
The frequency of symptoms both oral and genital should have reduced by now from 2012
Drink plenty of water and fluids.
You can get back for any clarification with details.
Thank you
