Brief Answer:
Needs work up for acid reflux.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. At age of 25 too much dependance on omeprazole is not wise. Acid reflux is a bothersome illness and it nees not just some proton pump inhibitor like omeprazole but a complete diet and lifestyle adjustment and work up to rule out underlying cause like hiatal hernia if any which will need surgical repair then.

Losing weight, eating small frequent meals, reducing caloric intake, avoiding spices, chocolates, fatty foods, dairy products, lying down after meal immediately. Prefer delaying lying down for 2 to 3 hours after meal and consider keeping the head side of the bed elevated.

At age of 25 40 mg of omeprazole is enough. dose can be doubled but i would suggest get work up for other cause of acid reflux. Talk to your doctor and let them decide what is best for you.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
