What Causes Blood In Stool And Enlarged Prostate?

Question: I just pissed dark red blood. I use a catheter because of an enlarged prostate. I have had blood before but nothing like this. There was urine but I have never seen blood as dark as this.

Blood in urine which hematuria is most commonly due to an infection. But it needs proper work up before any drug or treatment is advised. The following tests should be done in consult with your doctor to have a better idea of the cause for the blood in urine.

CBC ( Complete Blood count )
Urinalysis
Urine culture and sensitivity
BUN, Creatinine (RENAL FUNCTION TESTS)
Bladder and renal ULTRASOUND
