Question: I have backpain (lower and upperback) which is reflected in right leg (sensation, also sometime warm) in left leg (less severe) also upto knee. This sensation of warmness is also in both upper arms some time with some irritation. I also have arthiritis problem. At present I am taking neugaba 100 (two time), calcum tablet & Vitamin D3 at every alternate day. Is it OK.

Brief Answer:
An MRI spine is needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam.

I can certainly understand your concerns.

As per your symptoms, you possibly seem to have Sciatica which could be due to slippage of intervertebral disc compressing the spinal nerves.

It is important to confirm this diagnosis and assess its severity.

For this, I advise you to get an MRI scan of the thoracolumbar spine.

Further management if any, is based on the test results.

You can continue with all the prescribed/mentioned drugs as usual.
Thank you.

I understand sciatica is related to lower back problem, but what about sensation in upper arms.

Brief Answer:
Spinal disease can cause symptoms in arms.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam.

The symptoms of upper arm are probably related to spinal disease as well.

Degenerative disc disease can affect the entire spine as a whole.

Compression of the cervical spine can cause symptoms in the upper limbs.

Hence, a total spine MRI can be a better option.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
