Brief Answer:
It is a risk factor for myocardial infarction.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. Your mean platelet volume is increased. It is due to any inflammation or other causes.

Large and reactive platelets are metabolically and enzymatically more active and increased the risk of thrombus formation.

MPV can be decreased by drugs like rosuvastatin.

It is a prescription based medicine so you should consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
