Question: I'm not supposed to get my period for 10 days and suddenly I had cramps, bled and then passed a clot

Irregular bleeding or spotting or passage of clots can occur in the perimenopausal age group after 45 years.

It is mostly due to hormonal disturbances and is known as dysfunctional uterine bleeding.
Other causes are fibroid, adenomyosis or any lesion in the cervix or vagina.
