What Causes A Itchy Rash On The Back?

Question: i have a question about a rash. the rash is located on my mid center back. its somewhat up risen and itches and burns to touch. iv had had this rash for the past 2 days.

It is looking like shingles.
It might evolve to spread to front part of chest.
I treat such cases with an oral antiviral agent like acyclovir.
